Venerable Marut returns to the Three Jewels in Vancouver with a five day series of powerful teachings on the truth of how karma really works. The goal of any spiritual practice is total and lasting happiness. And at the foundation of every successful spiritual practice lies a clear understanding of the relationship between our actions and the laws of cause and effect. Once we learn how and why karma is really working we are able to perfectly shape every aspect of our lives and create the world we wish to live in.

On March 31st at 7:30PM, Ven. Marut will offer a two hour teaching, How Karma Works: Learning to design your ideal life. This single evening talk will provide the tools to transform an ordinary life into an extraordinary one.

Over the next four days, April 1-4thVen. Marut will offer an in depth study course which focuses on the first four Chapters of the Bhagavad Gita which illuminate the yoga of action, or karma yoga. The Bhagavad Gita, Gandhi’s “bible,” is one of the most important philosophical and influential spiritual scriptures of the world. The content of this classic work is a conversation that takes place between a warrior prince, Arjuna, and his driver and guide, Krishna, on a battlefield right before the beginning of a climactic war. Arjuna, filled with doubt and the realization that his enemies are in fact his family and loved ones, turns to Krishna, the divine spirit in human form, for advice. What follows is a download of eternal wisdom that has the ability to inspire any man or woman to fulfill their own supreme accomplishment.

This scriptural study is based on a new translation of the Bhagavad Gita by Geshe Michael Roach and Lama Christie McNally.  Ven. Marut, himself a master Sanskrit translator, will provide a perspective on this ancient text that makes it easy to understand and relevant to our daily lives. Venerable Marut flows with warmth and wit between the realms of simple spiritual common sense and the most esoteric brain busters of Tibetan Buddhist philosophy. Known for his unique ability to connect ancient Eastern traditions with practical applications to Western life, as well as for an entertaining style, Venerable Marut is offering all these teachings to the general public. How Karma Works: Learning How to Design Your Ideal Life will be offered by donation only and The Bhagavad Gita, Part One is offered and at the full course cost and the drop in rate show below. Registration is highly recommended.
