Tour Finishes in Munich

We’re in Munich at the end of the tour, stoked but a little tired. Today we begin two days of teaching at the Munich Jivamukti yoga studio — a crash course on the Yoga Sutra. We’re so grateful to Holger Wolff for all he and his family have done to make us feel at home here, and also to Thomas and Bettina Gleixner for their generosity and efforts in setting up things.

Paris in the Springtime

Well, it’s actually a bit cold and winter-like here, but lots of warm feelings all around. We had a nice turn out for a Tibetan Heart Yoga asana practice, led by Cindy Lee, and a talk on “The Missing Teachings of Yoga.” The venue, a dance studio called “MicaDanse,” was perfect and we are so grateful to Karl-Otto and Cecile and their gang for organizing everything. The teaching was bilingual thanks to the translation skills of the two above mentioned yogis. Thanks also to Chantal, whom we meet in Brooklyn like a week ago, who has generously taken care of our transportation and other needs.

Off to Munich tomorrow for the last stop on the GAT. See you there?

Thank you, Brooklyn!

Many thanks to Ava Gerber and the gang at Lucky Lotus for another awesome experience in Brooklyn. We had a great time teaching the urban yogis “the path of desire” (appropriately in the “Big Apple”) over the weekend and got into some pretty deep material — it’s all up on line, so have a listen. Thanks also to Michael Hewett who regaled us with his guitar magic on Saturday night. Brooklyn rules! Stay happy, yo.

Thank you, Cape Ann!

So awesome here. Another full house in the VMC for the heavy-duty, real deal teachings on emptiness this afternoon in the rain.

And then another 300 or so for the teachings at Woodman’s in Essex on “The Meaning of Life, Part 2.” There’s magic afoot here on the other Massachusetts cape!

Yo, please join us this summer for the retreat on “Recovering Silence.” Check it out:

Off to Brooklyn, NYC, NY, USA tomorrow. See you there.

Are you awake yet?

Play Date with Scout

I had to post these pics of Lama Marut and Scout’s play date in LA. Scout had told Lama Cliff (his dad) that he really had to ‘take a meeting’ with Lamaji. They played with stomp rockets and Scout discovered the big tiger… He put band-aids on it’s paws and took it home.

We’ve tried posted links to other image galleries and media as we’ve been travelling, please explore via the menu on the right.

Cape Ann Magic

We’ve finished two of the three days of teaching here in Cape Ann — full houses at the Vajramudra Center and 300 or so at the evening teaching tonight at Woodman’s.  Cindy taught an amazing part two of her guru yoga class (part one was in L.A.) this afternoon.  Yesterday we had a maroke ceremony, celebrating the completion of the 18 ACI courses, for Larry Wolf, Grace Sullivan, and Mary Kay Dyer, and today we had a vow ceremony that included Mary Kay and Phil Salzman giving vows to their students.  The lineage is being passed on. . .

Good to back in Cape Ann, Mass.

We arrived yesterday at the beautiful Vajramudra Center in Cape Ann and are preparing for the teachings this week. It’s good to back in one our “homes away from home” and we’re looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones over the next few days here. Cindy, Shadi, and I are all taking the day off today in order to recharge the batteries. We’ll post again from Cape Ann in the next few days.

LA filled with mahasukha

It was so good seeing everyone at the Mahasukha Center in L.A. earlier this week.  Monday night we had nearly 100 people jamming the Center to hear about true causes for happiness.  > Watch the videostream here

Tuesday night people returned to hear Cindy Lee’s awesome talk on finding and serving a spiritual teacher.  > Watch the videostream here

The Center in L.A. is thriving and we thank the many people there for all they did to make our two days so pleasant and enjoyable.  If you’re in the L.A. area, please do take advantage of the awesome classes in yoga, dharma, and happiness offered regularly at the Mahasukha Center.  You all are so lucky to have this place in a city where “mahasukha” (“great happiness”)  is hard to find among all the “mahadukha” (great suffering)
